alialansi2SANAA, 14 Nov -- Head of the National Security Agency (NSA) and President Saleh’s advisor, Ali Mohammed al-Ansi Saturday said “Iran and some Shiite groups in Arab countries are supporting the Huthi rebels in north Yemen,” adding “the rebels thought they were strong and refused to respect any of the signed agreements.”  Al-Ansi who was speaking to the French La Monde said “we accepted the Qatari mediation because we are seeking peace but at the end all the victims are Yemenis,” and accused the rebels of “trying to internationalize the situation because it serves their interests,” stressing “there will be no new mediations.”

 

 

 

 

Sharp Decline in Yemen’s Oil Revenues in 1st Half to $665.0 Mln

SANAA, 09 Aug -- A report by the Central Bank of Yemen Sunday said the country’s oil revenues in the first half of this year dropped to $665.0 million compared with $2.66 billion in the same period of last year, adding “this drop was associated with a fall in the government’s share of total oil exports to 12.8 million barrels of oil compared with 23.8 million barrels last year.”
