Saleh Says has no Divine Authority to Rule

saleh3SANAA, 11 March -- President Ali Abdullah Saleh Thursday visited the Central Forces Compound in Sanaa and said “we are here to bear farewell to officers and soldiers who will be going to Sadaa governorate to maintain security and social peace so that the internally displaced persons can return to their homes,” adding “God willing, the latest military operations will be the last in Sadaa and peace and security will return to the region so that the process of reconstruction and development could be initiated.”He told the soldiers to “ban armed people from roaming around in the districts and treat people equally without discrimination,” adding “al-Houthi and his children want to be Imams and they are in meetings day and night to determine who will be the next Imam among them.”
“The people of Yemen rule themselves by themselves.  They possess the power and no single person can claim to have the divine right to rule,” said the President, adding “we enjoy democracy, freedom and pluralism but we have to stick to the constitution and law and I as the President work to protect the constitution, uphold the law and protect the nation against those who play with fire or try to destabilize peace and tranquility or those who incite sectarianism and secessionism.”
